At a seminar dedicated to livestock issues, the First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Zhanibek Kerimaliev, shared information about the ongoing reforms. The event brought together private veterinarians, insemination technicians, pasture specialists, and leaders of breeding farms. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Kerimaliev noted that 60.8 million soms have been allocated to improve the breed characteristics of livestock, which has allowed for the purchase of 270,000 doses of high-quality breeding material sourced from Russia and Switzerland. Additionally, 160 sets of artificial insemination equipment have been sent to the regions.
Furthermore, to support breeding farms, preferential loans are being provided through state banks at an interest rate of 3% per annum. Currently, 186 livestock entities have been granted breeding status, and state-owned lands are being transferred without auctions, which simplifies the process of forage procurement, as reported by the agency.
From 2023 to 2025, it is planned to process more than 25,000 hectares of pastures, and 823.3 hectares have already been fenced off for their restoration. Meanwhile, fees for the use of pastures are showing steady growth.
