In order to promote domestic tourism and reveal the tourist potential of the country, "Family Day" will be held every Sunday in Uzbekistan. This initiative aims to create a comfortable atmosphere for family recreation, expand cultural opportunities, and activate interest in the historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.

"Family Day" is a weekly event during which special programs and activities for family leisure are organized across the country. On Sundays, visitors will be able to enjoy themed events, excursions, workshops, and educational programs in libraries, theaters, and museums.

In the mahallas, reading evenings will take place where both adults and children can discuss books, share opinions, and strengthen traditions. These events foster a friendly atmosphere and bring generations closer together, as well as develop interest in literature and the arts.

Developing opportunities for family leisure is a key factor in promoting domestic tourism in Uzbekistan. The country is renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage, picturesque natural landscapes, and numerous tourist attractions that provide excellent conditions for exciting family trips.

From the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva to the beautiful mountains, lakes, and national parks — Uzbekistan offers a multitude of destinations for educational and active recreation. The "Family Day" initiative inspires citizens to discover new places, learn about the history of their country, and spend time in nature with their loved ones.

The significance of "Family Day" is multifaceted:

Strengthening family bonds. Spending time together allows families to grow closer, reinforce traditions, and create positive memories.
Development of cultural tourism. Regular events increase interest in museums, theaters, and historical sites.
Health benefits. Active outdoor recreation, hikes, and excursions contribute to physical and emotional well-being.
Support for the local economy. Increased domestic tourism promotes the development of the hospitality and restaurant industries, as well as infrastructure in the regions.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, along with regional cultural administrations, recommends that families actively use Sundays for:

visiting museums, theaters, and cultural centers with special programs; participating in reading evenings and educational events in mahallas; traveling to historical and natural attractions of the country; organizing picnics and active outdoor recreation.
