On December 5, a new cooperative project aimed at the production of system units for personal computers was approved at a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council. One of the companies from Kyrgyzstan is participating in this project, and subsidies from the EAEU budget are also planned.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the initiator of the project is PJSC "Sberbank" (Russia). The implementation is carried out by the Russian company LLC "Beshtau Electronics" with the involvement of enterprises from Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
Kyrgyzstan is represented in this project by LLC "Kyrgyzelektronika," which will supply metal cases for system units. It is expected that the company's revenue will reach 416.5 million rubles, with deliveries of 175,000 cases by 2030.
The preparatory phase of the project is planned to last from the first quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027, after which the launch of two production lines will begin, and full capacity will be achieved in the second quarter of 2028. The subsidy from the EAEU budget will amount to 222.2 million rubles, which will allow reducing the interest rate from 23% to 6.5%, taking into account the key rate of the Bank of Russia.
The ministry also emphasized that the mechanism for financial support for producers in EAEU countries, which includes subsidizing interest rates on loans for joint cooperative initiatives, was launched in 2023. This mechanism is aimed at stimulating industrial cooperation and significantly reduces financial costs for enterprises in the participating countries.
“The Ministry of Economy and Commerce provided full assistance in preparing and supporting the project application,” the agency noted.
“We encourage businesses to actively use the subsidization mechanisms,” they added.
For reference: cooperative projects are accepted twice a year, by April 1 and by October 1, after which a list of applications is formed and assessed using a scoring system.
