
“About 25% of the total growth recorded by the wealth index was provided by just eight individuals, including Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Alphabet co-founder Larry Page, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos,” the report notes.
The total wealth of billionaires reached $11.9 trillion, with the largest portion of the increase recorded in the United States and Canada — $1.1 trillion.
According to the agency, the growth of capital “significantly accelerated” due to Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election at the end of 2024. Additionally, shares of the largest American companies continued to rise on the wave of “artificial intelligence euphoria.”
