The deputy raised the issue of providing Karakol with green energy

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Bolot Saginayev drew attention to issues related to providing Karakol with green energy.

He emphasized the importance of developing tourism in this city and inquired with the director of the State Institution "Green Energy Fund" about current initiatives in this area.

Emilbek Orozbaev, the director of the fund, reported that work is currently underway in Karakol to install solar panels on the roof of the vocational school.

“In addition, two projects for the construction of mini-hydroelectric power stations are being implemented in Karakol, and private investors are launching their projects in the field of green energy,” he added.

Saginayev also asked a question about the gasification of the region.

“In 2014, Gazprom acquired OJSC Kyrgyzgas for the symbolic amount of 1 dollar. The agreement states that Gazprom plans to increase the level of gasification in the country to 62% and provide gas to more than 400 settlements. What is the current situation with gasification?” he clarified.

In response, Deputy Minister of Energy Altynbek Rysbekov stated that for information, one should contact the LLC "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan."
