Kozhokulova's statement was a response to the dissatisfaction of entrepreneurs who reported high fees charged by financial institutions for interbank transactions. According to information, the fees can range from 1% to 1.7% of the transfer amount.

The deputy noted: "Entrepreneurs recently turned to the media with a call to stop financial dictatorship. The issue specifically concerns the fees and interest rates for transfers. An official response from the National Bank on this matter has not yet been received. As the main supervisory body, the National Bank should explain how it is addressing these issues. Commercial banks charge too much for customer service, and the rights of entrepreneurs are significantly infringed. It may be worth considering the possibility of reducing these rates or even eliminating them entirely."

In response to Kozhokulova's remarks, the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank, Medet Tairov, noted that this issue is currently being discussed with the Ministry of Economy and the tax service.

He stated: "We receive numerous inquiries regarding transfers, and we are currently discussing the situation with businesses, as transfers for individuals are not subject to fees. Banks are also business entities, and discussions are ongoing regarding the amounts of transfers. Fees for clearing or gross systems usually do not exceed 1-2%."

Kozhokulova, in turn, emphasized that entrepreneurs conduct large volumes of transfers, and therefore the fees amount to significant sums.

The deputy added: "You rightly pointed out that commercial banks are businesses. But I am not aware of them operating at a loss. Their goal is always to increase profits."
