Work has begun in Kyrgyzstan to establish the foundations for the civil sector of unmanned technologies. The Kyrgyz Association for the Development of Unmanned Technologies, in collaboration with Adam University, has signed a memorandum aimed at creating a systematic base for training specialists and implementing engineering solutions in various peaceful sectors of the economy.
The memorandum was signed by the university's rector, Svetlana Sirmbard, and the chairman of the association, Alexander Kim. The document emphasizes the civil use of drones, including their application in areas such as agriculture, cartography, ecology, logistics, and infrastructure monitoring. Within the framework of this cooperation, special attention will be paid to the development of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft under the guidance of association member Ilyas Isaev.
The leadership of Adam University has expressed its readiness to develop modern educational programs and support scientific initiatives. Rector Svetlana Sirmbard emphasized that unmanned systems could become an important tool for the development of science and education.
According to the chairman of the association, Alexander Kim, although the memorandum is of a framework nature, it represents a necessary first step towards creating a full-fledged professional community and engineering school in the country. Experts believe that the joint efforts of business and the academic environment will contribute to the emergence of high-tech projects in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles in Kyrgyzstan.
