In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, a ceremony was held to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Korean Rural Community Development Corporation (KRC) and the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. This document will serve as the foundation for significant changes in the country's agricultural sector and rural areas through digital transformation.
The agreement envisions the joint implementation of high-tech solutions from Korea in the management of water and land resources. The main focus will be on modernizing irrigation systems and implementing projects to create "smart villages," aimed at developing modern and technological infrastructure in the regions.
This cooperation fully aligns with the strategic goals of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2026. The signed memorandum will become an important tool for attracting investments and obtaining official development assistance (ODA) from the Republic of Korea. It is expected that the Korean experience will contribute to increasing agricultural productivity and improving living conditions in rural areas through the introduction of automation and innovative management approaches.
