The JSC "Chakan HPP" has completed the selection of a general contractor for the reconstruction of the Lebedinovskaya HPP. This information was announced by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, the final stage of the competition has been completed, the applications have been evaluated, and the results have been submitted to the bank for approval. The contractor who won the tender will be responsible for the main construction and installation and technical works at the site.
The reconstruction is one of the priority areas for JSC "Chakan HPP" and includes the modernization of equipment, increasing productivity, and extending the operational life of the station.
The set of measures includes updating hydraulic structures, capital modernization of generator equipment, as well as the implementation of modern control and automation systems. These works will significantly enhance the efficiency and reliability of the Lebedinovskaya HPP:
* Increase in installed capacity from 7.6 to 10.0 MW;
* Increase in electricity generation from 37.2 to 53.5 million kWh;
* Improvement of the reliability of the hydropower plant.
It should be noted that on April 14, 2022, a preliminary agreement was signed between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Finance, the National Energy Holding, and JSC "Chakan HPP".
