Modernizing irrigation and building 'smart villages' in Kyrgyzstan will be aided by Korea
A memorandum of understanding has been signed with the Korean Rural Community Development Corporation (KRC) at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. This agreement will facilitate the attraction of technologies and investments in Kyrgyzstan's agricultural sector, as reported by the ministry's press service.

According to the information, cooperation will focus on the implementation of modern Korean technologies in the management of the country's water and land resources. Within the framework of this partnership, projects are planned for the modernization of irrigation systems, as well as the development of regional infrastructure and the launch of high-tech "smart villages".

This agreement creates a legal framework for attracting foreign investments and financing under the "Official Development Assistance" (ODA) program. Additionally, this partnership aligns with the goals of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2026, which includes digitalization and technological transformations in agriculture, as stated in the announcement.
