In Kyrgyzstan, a preferential lending program has been launched, provided by the State Bank "Eldik Bank" with the support of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The main advantage of this program lies in the extremely low interest rate — only 3% per annum (with an effective interest rate of 3.04%), making loans particularly attractive for farmers.
The goal of the program is to significantly improve the genetic level of livestock and strengthen the country's food security. Funding will be available not only to agricultural producers and breeding farms but also to individual entrepreneurs and livestock importers included in specially compiled lists by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. Limits are also provided for insemination technicians.
Loans can be used to purchase pedigree livestock of breeds such as Alatau, Hereford, Holstein, Simmental, and others. Additionally, funds can be invested in the modernization of farms, the construction of livestock facilities, and the implementation of modern animal care technologies.
The main lending conditions:
Maximum loan amount: up to 20,000,000 soms (for insemination technicians — up to 2,000,000 soms);Loan term: up to 60 months (5 years);Grace period: 6 months;Unsecured limit: up to 500,000 soms;Additional support: in case of insufficient collateral, it is possible to obtain a guarantee from the JSC "Guarantee Fund".
