The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic approved 9 large-scale preferential lending projects

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic is actively developing financial assistance for the agricultural sector. By the beginning of 2026, six state projects with a total cost of 7 billion 380 million soms have been successfully implemented in the country. In the near future, it is planned to increase the total number of programs to nine, which will allow achieving a record level of funding of 13 billion 180 million soms.

Preferential loans are available for farmers, agribusinesses, and processing enterprises through the state banks "Ayil Bank" and "Eldik Bank." The new program covers all key areas, including spring fieldwork and high-tech leasing, as well as water-saving technologies.

Conditions of Key Support Programs

The most favorable conditions are offered for the implementation of water-saving technologies and the development of regional cluster production, where the interest rate is only 2% per annum, and the loan term is up to 7 years. Agricultural producers can receive funds at 3% per annum for the development of breeding livestock, support for seed farms and nurseries, as well as for industrial fattening of livestock in the Chui region and Bishkek.

For traditional areas, such as the "Agricultural Financing-14" project, the interest rate is set at 6% per annum. This program is intended for the purchase of seeds, livestock, and fuel, and loans of up to 500,000 soms can be issued without collateral. Cluster associations (with a limit of up to 1 billion soms each) and leasing programs are also financed under the same conditions at 6% per annum.

Leasing and Equipment Renewal

Within the framework of the leasing program, agricultural producers can acquire equipment at an interest rate of 6% per annum for a term of up to 7 years with a down payment starting from 10%. In 2025, 143 units of specialized equipment, including tractors and combines, have already been issued for a total amount of 511 million soms, and the process continues.

Currently, under the most popular project "FSH-14," loans have been issued for a total of over 125 million soms. Other programs, including a large project for regional cluster production worth 3.8 billion soms, are in the final stages of approval and are being prepared for launch.

State support of this scale is aimed at ensuring the country's food security, improving the genetic potential of livestock, and automating processes in agriculture.
