Bakyt Torobaev announced the allocation of 1 billion soms to support farmers
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev reported that in 2026, farmers implementing water-saving technologies will have access to preferential loans with an interest rate of 2% per annum.
According to him, the implementation of this program is allocated 1 billion soms. The project is already prepared, and as soon as the corresponding resolution is adopted, the funds will be allocated.
Furthermore, the minister specified that the installation of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems is planned for an area of 20,000 hectares. Of this area, 5,270 hectares will be financed by the state, while the remaining 14,730 hectares will be funded by the farmers themselves.
