Meeting participants emphasized the irrigation problems, noting that there is a serious lack of water-saving infrastructure in the Suzak district. Currently, important elements such as decadal and daily regulation pools (BDR and BSR) are absent. The minister stressed that the optimal use of water resources and the development of necessary infrastructure are priority tasks for ensuring food security in the region.
While discussing preparations for the spring campaign, specific data on the district's readiness was presented. Currently, the level of seed provision for local grain farmers stands at 85%. Additionally, farmers in the Suzak district have a significant amount of machinery, including 3,393 tractors and 137 combines.
The issue of mineral fertilizers was also addressed. The demand for fertilizers in the Jalal-Abad region for 2026 is 24,000 tons, of which the Suzak district requires 6,200 tons, accounting for a quarter of the total volume.
At the end of the meeting, Erlis Akunbekov answered questions from local residents, emphasizing that the success of the agricultural sector directly depends on the coordinated work of government authorities, specialists, and the farmers themselves.
