One of the main topics of discussion was the price of eggs, which has significantly increased over the past week. The minister noted that the company "Agrokush" produces about 70% of the eggs needed for the region. During negotiations with representatives of this firm, Erlis Akunbekov emphasized the necessity of maintaining affordable prices for consumers.
The minister also pointed out the unacceptability of unjustified price increases for meat. He noted that local authorities and relevant services must work in harmony to ensure price stability in the domestic market.
The minister also raised the issue of the region's dependence on imported products from neighboring countries, especially from Uzbekistan. He urged farmers to ramp up the production of vegetables and fruits, emphasizing that saturating the market with local products is key to providing the population with quality and affordable food, as well as strengthening the country's food security. Following his visit, the minister gave specific instructions to the relevant structures to enhance efforts in this direction.
