In the capital, at the square in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a weekend fair will take place on January 10-11, 2026, dedicated to the celebration of the New Year according to the old calendar. This event will not only serve as a marketplace but also as a venue for communication among residents and guests of the capital.

Visitors will be able to purchase gifts, souvenirs, and fresh agricultural products directly from farmers and processors. Additionally, everyone will have the opportunity to congratulate each other on the holiday by performing songs and dances at the "People's Microphone."

In anticipation of 2026, the tax service reminded that starting January 1, anyone engaged in the sale of agricultural products must register as individual entrepreneurs. However, the first days of January are holidays, which complicates the work of government institutions. Fair participants hope that the tax authorities will be able to provide individual clarifications.

Many farmers and processors have already expressed their concerns, as they have not previously encountered the process of registering as individual entrepreneurs. They are interested in how the tax service distinguishes between a personal QR code and an individual entrepreneur's QR code, how to use the earned money for personal needs, and how to properly document this. Farmers are also worried about what documents they need to provide and whether they need to visit the tax office in person.

The procedure for closing an individual entrepreneurship also raises concerns among fair participants. They note that starting a business is not difficult, but closing it can become a real problem, as shown by the experience of others.

Farmers hope that representatives of the tax service will come to the fair and explain in detail the process of tax payments and individual entrepreneurship registration. It would also be helpful if employees of the Ministry of Agriculture and tax authorities could explain the available benefits and loans for agricultural producers in simple terms.

The farmers' fair has established itself as an important social platform for residents and guests of the capital. It is not only an opportunity to purchase quality products at low prices but also a place for information exchange and communication. Organizers emphasize the importance of maintaining this format.

The fair curators note that its main goal is to provide the population with socially significant products at prices below market rates. Flour and staple food products will be sold at wholesale prices from producers, who will take turns selling their goods.

- The fair will begin its operation on January 10-11, 2026. In the future, similar events will open in the Jal and Vostok-5 microdistricts. Tents, tables, and chairs will be set up to maintain order. Farmers' fairs are a kind of "transformers": fresh products are brought in for the weekend, and then the equipment is removed. It is important for participants not to inflate prices and to comply with tax requirements, - noted the fair curator for Bishkek, Iskak Anvarbekov.

You can reach the fair by bus No. 1, which runs from the Ala-Archa Gorge to the square. The fair will operate until June 2026.

Participation for farmers and processors is free, but it is necessary to obtain confirmation from the district agricultural management of the Ministry of Agriculture and to comply with the condition of pricing below market rates.
