The project, which costs more than 1 billion soms (about 11.8 million US dollars), is being implemented with the support of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. As part of the state program for the development of the agro-industrial complex, "Aiyl Bank" provided the company with a preferential loan of 5 million dollars, which accounts for more than 42% of the total investment. The remaining nearly 7 million dollars are the company's own funds.
The cluster will include unique facilities for the southern region of the country: a fish farming facility on the Kurpsay Reservoir, where it is planned to produce up to 5,000 tons of trout annually by 2030, as well as a sturgeon farm in the Suzak district, aiming to produce 270 tons of sturgeon meat and 1 ton of black caviar per year. As part of the project, a factory with an area of 2,100 square meters is also being built, which will be equipped with modern shock freezing lines for processing products.
During his visit, Akunbekov noted that the ministry will provide full support for this initiative. An educational center is already operating at the enterprise, where seminars for farmers interested in aquaculture will be held in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries. It is expected that over the next five years, tax revenues from the cluster's operations will exceed 1.35 billion soms, and dozens of new jobs will be created for the local population.
The launch of production is scheduled for the coming months: fry production will begin as early as April of this year. Experts predict that in a year and a half, the fish will reach a market weight of 5–6 kilograms. The implementation of this project will be an important step in ensuring food security in Kyrgyzstan and will bring domestic fish products to international markets.
