The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic is taking steps to create more comfortable conditions for both domestic and foreign investors. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Choro Seyitov shared this information at a recent briefing.

According to Seyitov, the government is actively working to address the main issues that concern entrepreneurs, including access to land plots, infrastructure development, and tax incentives.

One of the significant results of working with the regions has been the establishment of special industrial zones for each district. "Previously, entrepreneurs faced difficulties in finding land for their enterprises. Currently, industrial zones have been allocated in every district. For example, in the Chui region and Tokmok, significant areas have been designated for these purposes. Similar work has been done in Ala-Buka, Osh, and Kara-Suu, ensuring the availability of ready plots for business," he noted.

The deputy minister also added that the state is taking on the responsibility of providing these zones with the necessary utilities, including electricity, gas (where possible), roads, water supply, and sewage.

Furthermore, Seyitov characterized Kyrgyzstan's tax policy as adaptive and flexible, noting that a special working group has been established to make amendments to the Tax Code.

The ministry is also actively working to reduce bureaucracy and eliminate administrative barriers, aiming to minimize regulatory pressure on businesses and simplify the interaction between the private sector and government bodies.

In addition, the official reported on the development of a project for the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Program until 2030.

“We plan to continue our active support policy for small and medium businesses, directing about 1.5 billion soms for this purpose. For comparison, last year the funding volume was 300 million soms,” Seyitov emphasized.
