Thousands of residents of the Batken border area will gain access to clean drinking water

In the Batken region, several significant projects aimed at providing residents with clean drinking water are in the final stages. Particularly notable progress has been demonstrated in the village of Muras, located in the Leilek district. Here, the construction of the water supply system is nearing completion, reaching 90% readiness. Soon, this facility will be put into operation, allowing more than 3,000 local residents to access this essential resource for life. Public hearings were also held in the village, where local activists and authorities agreed on water tariffs, ensuring the sustainable operation of the system in the future.

Work is also underway in the Batken district, where specialists are constructing modern water collection facilities in the village of Kara-Bulak to gather spring water and laying a 14-kilometer main line. The launch of this facility will be a real salvation for 4,000 rural residents. In addition to residential houses, stable water supply will be provided to two schools, two kindergartens, and a health post. Similar initiatives are being carried out in the village of Sovetskoe in the Kadamjai district, where another 2,200 people will gain access to safe drinking water.

Project management is overseeing the progress of the work. Specialists under the guidance of Arstan Mukhtarov conducted on-site monitoring at all construction sites. Contractors were given strict instructions to adhere to sanitary standards and complete the projects on time. Inspectors noted that the timely completion of the water supply system is a priority for improving the quality of life in the region.

These initiatives will not only address long-standing water shortages but also lay the foundations for sustainable development in the villages. During meetings with the local population, experts emphasized the importance of sound tariff policies and the responsible attitude of residents towards the new infrastructure, which will allow it to be maintained in working condition for many years. It is expected that by the end of the year, the issue of water supply in these settlements will be fully resolved.
