A new high-voltage substation 'Suu-Bashi' with a voltage of 110/35/10 kilovolts has been launched in Batken, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
During the opening of the facility, Energy Minister Talaybek Ibraev emphasized that it is necessary to promptly increase the capacity of the energy system to meet the growing number of consumers.

"In 2025, we constructed a number of substations, carried out reconstruction of hydro units at major hydropower plants, and also put into operation small hydropower plants and solar power stations. Considering the construction of new residential complexes and industrial facilities, increasing electricity generation is extremely important. Each new substation is crucial for providing the population with electricity and heat," he added.
The substation 'Suu-Bashi' occupies an area of 500 square meters, and its implementation became possible thanks to the cooperation between JSC 'NESC' and the Batken city administration. The total cost of the project amounted to 55 million 758 thousand soms:
- of which the municipality allocated 35 million 800 thousand for the purchase of equipment;
- the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise spent 19 million 958 thousand on the acquisition of materials;
- the construction work was carried out by the enterprise's own forces.
This substation will provide reliable electricity supply for 2,224 residential houses, the village of Zhany-Dostuk, the industrial zone, the residential areas of 'Batken City', a new stadium for 10,000 seats, the 'Chet-Bulak' quarter, the village of Buzhum, and the under-construction Russian school.

In addition, the substation 'Suu-Bashi' will provide power to four other substations: 'Kara-Bulak', 'Kara-Tokoy-1', 'Kara-Tokoy-2', and 'Shirech'.
The facility is connected to a new 110-kilovolt power transmission line 'Aigul-Tash — Central'.

As part of this event, the Batken Electric Networks Enterprise received new specialized equipment for rapid response to emergency situations: three JAC N 8 vehicles, one JAC N56, and an SHANMON excavator.
Earlier this week, the 35/10 kilovolt substation 'T.Kulatov' and a power transmission line in the Nookat district were put into operation, and three new energy facilities were launched in the Uzgen district.
