The construction continues to be carried out according to the approved schedule.
As of now, the following works have been completed:
- the passage of the diversion tunnel, 950 meters long, has been fully completed;
- work is ongoing on the concrete lining of the water supply tunnel;
- preparatory work for soil stabilization and the construction of the chamber walls at the branching node has been completed;
- preparatory work for the installation of the tunnel interchange with three exits is underway, with metal structures of 93.6 m installed in one and 74.4 m in another.
Key stages of work in the hydroelectric power station building have also been completed:
- the construction of the HPP building is 90% complete;
- work on reinforcing and concreting the columns for the lifting mechanisms of the spillway gates of the lower reach has been completed;
- the installation of the roof frame has been completed, and work is now underway on laying the roofing material;
- the installation of hydro turbines No. 1, 2, and 3, as well as the disk gates, has been successfully completed.
The ministry emphasized that the installed capacity of the Orto-Tokoy HPP is 21 MW, and the completion of construction work is planned for the first half of 2026.
