The press service of the ministry reports
At the III People's Kurultai, which took place on December 20-21, 2024, delegates addressed the Ministry of Energy with 59 various issues, according to the press service's information.
“The main topics discussed at the kurultai included the need for the construction of new substations, increasing the capacity of existing transformer substations, replacing old wooden poles with reinforced concrete ones, gasification, creating small hydropower plants, as well as ensuring electricity supply to new residential areas,” the Ministry of Energy reports.
Out of the 59 requests, 8 have already been fulfilled, including increasing the capacity of substations in populated areas, installing additional transformer substations, and replacing worn-out wooden poles with more reliable reinforced concrete structures.
The press service also added that the implementation of 41 requests from the delegates will require additional time. At the same time, 10 of the remaining requests cannot be fulfilled.
“These requests concerned the construction of small hydropower plants in certain regions, gasification, creating new substations or installing transformer substations in areas with sufficient capacity, as well as replacing overhead lines and power transmission poles that are in satisfactory condition and have not exceeded their service life. Furthermore, they involved the electrification of sparsely populated or new residential areas that have not undergone the necessary transformation and do not have the required documentation,” the press service explained.
