According to the Joint Stock Company "Kyrgyzkomur," since the beginning of 2025, 978,584 tons of coal have been extracted at the Kara-Keche open-pit mine, which has been used to supply the population and for deliveries to the CHP in Bishkek. The extraction is carried out using 255 units of special equipment. In the republic, 132 fuel depots have been opened, where coal is sold at prices ranging from 3,290 to 6,800 soms, depending on logistics and distance. Two coal sorting machines are operating at the open-pit mine.
After that, the minister headed to the Ak-Ulak coal deposit, where 30% of the extracted coal is used for the needs of the CHP. Responsible officials report that coal is also supplied to the population and used for social needs. A new sorting machine is currently being installed there, which will allow sending small coal to the CHP and large coal directly to the population.
Following the inspection, the minister instructed the responsible services to ensure stable coal supplies to the population, organize round-the-clock shifts for drivers, and maintain coal availability for citizens in a regular mode.
