Currently, OJSC "Chakan HPP" has successfully completed 80% of the construction work on the Orto-Tokoy HPP, as reported by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Ministry clarifies that work at the site continues according to the established schedule.
In particular, the following stages have been completed:
the passage of the 950-meter-long diversion tunnel has been completed;
currently, the concreting of the reinforced concrete lining of the water supply tunnel is being carried out;
work on soil stabilization and the construction of the branch chamber walls has been completed;
active actions are underway for the installation of the tunnel interchange with three exits: in one of them, metal structures with a length of 93.6 meters have already been installed and welded, and in another — 74.4 meters.
the construction of the HPP building is 90% complete;
the work on reinforcing and concreting the columns for the sluice gate mechanisms of the spillway channel of the lower reach has been fully completed;
the installation of the roof frame has been completed, and roofing is currently underway;
hydroturbines No. 1, 2, and 3, as well as disc gates, have been successfully installed.
