Since the beginning of this year, there has been a decrease in prices for fuel and lubricants in Kyrgyzstan, which contributes to the stability of the domestic market, as reported by representatives of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service.

As of March 27, the prices for fuel and lubricants are as follows: A-92 gasoline costs 74.7 soms, A-95 — 80.2 soms, diesel fuel — 79.7 soms, and gas — 40.2 soms.

The Tax Service noted that the incomes of local oil traders remain low, amounting to only about 1 som per liter.

To prevent a sharp rise in prices, the antimonopoly authority has developed several recommendations for the Cabinet of Ministers. Among them are the fixation of prices at oil refineries in Russia until the end of the current year, a temporary reduction or complete waiver of VAT and excise duties for fuel and lubricant importers, as well as the implementation of support programs for production and the provision of preferential loans to market participants.

As emphasized by the agency, this set of measures is aimed at maintaining stable prices in the domestic market and reducing the risks of sharp fluctuations in the context of geopolitical instability.
