According to Orunbekov, the incident became a target for provocateurs who spread false information, fueling interethnic hatred. He emphasized that conflicts between people are a natural part of life and do not depend on nationality. Moreover, Kyrgyz citizens working abroad (more than 1.5 million of them) also face similar domestic disputes. It is important not to succumb to provocations.
As for foreign workers, there is active construction in Kyrgyzstan, and consequently, a labor shortage. This has led to the attraction of specialists from China. In particular, Chinese workers are involved in the implementation of the construction project for the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which requires relevant technologies and knowledge.
It should be noted that the presence of foreign citizens in the country is regulated by strict visa rules: after their visa expires, they are required to leave Kyrgyzstan. However, those who exaggerate this incident are clearly not interested in peace and the development of the country.
The construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is of strategic importance for the country's economy. Upon completion of the project, Kyrgyzstan will be able to receive over 500 million US dollars annually — this is comparable to the revenues from Kumtor, but unlike gold, which is depleting, the railway will provide a stable income in the long term. It will also allow Kyrgyzstan to access international markets and sea routes, which is extremely important, considering that the country currently mainly depends on road routes.
Thus, it is necessary to avoid supporting those who seek to keep Kyrgyzstan in a state of isolation and dependence. We urge everyone not to succumb to provocations and to think about the future of the country!
