Today, December 4, during his state visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and the Chairman of the Senate Yusuf Raza Gilani.
According to information from the president's press service, the meeting discussed issues of deepening cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. The participants emphasized the need to develop political dialogue and considered opportunities to expand the legal framework in the areas of transport, logistics, investments, and economy.
President Japarov highlighted the importance of parliament in the process of state development, noting its significant contribution to strengthening the governance system and implementing key reforms. He also emphasized the importance of friendship groups and relevant committees for strengthening bilateral relations.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in turn, congratulated the president on the successful conduct of the elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and expressed the readiness of the Pakistani parliament for active cooperation and support within the framework of inter-parliamentary organizations and forums.
