According to the ministry's information, during the period of 2024–2025, water-saving systems were implemented on 2,369.5 hectares, of which 641.5 hectares were occupied by drip systems, and 1,728 hectares by sprinkler systems.
“Currently, 2,000 hectares of land have been designated in the republic, and tenders for the installation of systems have been announced for 1,500 hectares. The necessary project and estimate documentation has also been prepared. As part of the work with farmers, explanatory activities are being conducted, including two republic-level seminars dedicated to the advantages of water-saving technologies,” the statement said.
After the tenders are completed, the necessary equipment is planned to be purchased, and the installation of the systems is scheduled to be carried out before the start of the 2026 growing season.
