According to the provided data, water-saving systems will be installed on a total area of 2,369.5 hectares in the republic during 2024-2025. Of this area, 641.5 hectares will be allocated for drip irrigation, while sprinkler irrigation will cover 1,728 hectares.
The implementation of these technologies is carried out in accordance with an order issued by the minister on October 16 of this year. The document titled "On the Implementation of Water-Saving Technologies" implies the installation of modern irrigation systems on state fund lands, as well as the identification of plots for their temporary use.
Currently, 2,000 hectares of land have already been designated in the republic, and tenders have been announced for the installation of systems on 1,500 hectares. The project and estimate documentation is ready. Additionally, informational activities are being conducted among farmers to clarify the advantages of water-saving technologies, and two seminars have already been held at the republican level.
After the completion of the tender procedures, the necessary equipment will be purchased, and the installation of the systems is planned to be completed before the start of the 2026 growing season.
