
The new deputy mufti of Kyrgyzstan is Shukur Ismailov. This appointment was confirmed by an order signed by mufti Abdulaziz Zakirov, as reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
Shukur Ismailov represents the Chon-Alai district of the Osh region and has an extensive education: he holds degrees in law, philology, and religious studies. Additionally, he is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in legal sciences and a candidate of historical sciences.
Previously, Ismailov held several high positions in educational institutions, including the Islamic Institute named after Hazreti Osmon, the Kyrgyz Islamic University, the KGU named after I. Arabayev, and the DUMK, where he led the research institute and the department of religious education.
