- The head of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), Kamchybek Tashiev, announced on December 23 his intention to cease unjustified inspections of businesses by the GKNB and other law enforcement agencies starting January 1, 2026, during the opening of the agency's recreation area "Kyzyl-Beles" in the village of Tash-Moynok, according to information from the committee's press service.

In his speech, Tashiev highlighted the main areas of focus for security agencies in the upcoming year.

“Starting January 1, 2026, in order to support honest entrepreneurship, unjustified inspections by the GKNB and law enforcement agencies will be halted. We will focus on protecting the rights of entrepreneurs and ensuring economic freedom, while strictly punishing those involved in illegal activities,” he emphasized.

Special attention was also given to measures to combat corruption. In 2026, it is planned to intensify anti-corruption actions across all government institutions, including the financial, energy, mining sectors, and public service centers.

“Systematic work to eliminate organized crime groups has been completed, and it is unacceptable to unjustifiably hold citizens accountable based on this criterion,” Tashiev added.

The chairman of the GKNB urged law enforcement officers to strictly adhere to legality, objectivity, and professional ethics in order not to violate the rights and freedoms of citizens.

At the end of the ceremony, Colonel General Tashiev cut the symbolic red ribbon and familiarized himself with the conditions created on the territory of the "Kyzyl-Beles" complex.
Note:

The "Kyzyl-Beles" area is located at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level, approximately 38 km from the city of Bishkek, above the tourist center "Oruu-Sai".

Background

On September 25, 2024, Tazabek reported on the return of the "Kyzyl-Beles" ski base to state ownership. According to the GKNB, the base had previously been privatized by private individuals.

“It was established that employees of the FUGI and the local authorities of the Alamedin district transferred the ski base and pastures covering an area of 10 hectares into private hands, which were then resold to third parties. During the inspection, the owners agreed to return the property along with the land and buildings, the value of which exceeded 50 million soms, to state ownership,” the statement said.

The special service also confirmed that work to return illegally privatized properties will continue.
