He announced a serious fight against corruption and noted that those who hope to avoid punishment are deeply mistaken. Tashiev urged those involved in corrupt practices to consider the possibility of voluntarily resigning from their positions.
He emphasized: "If you, working in government and law enforcement agencies, cannot do without corruption, it is better to resign and engage in business where you can earn more. Keep in mind that if you are caught in corruption, you will face full punishment," he warned.
Tashiev also noted that after the detention of corrupt officials, their relatives often turn to various authorities asking for their justification. He expressed regret for the parents and relatives of the detainees but emphasized that this would not affect the course of the investigation. As an example, he cited the case of the former mayor of Kara-Balta.
"Currently, several officials are in custody. Usually, after their detention, relatives come to us claiming that their loved ones are innocent. For instance, the mother of the ex-mayor of Kara-Balta has repeatedly written to me online. Each time, I am touched by her condition; it makes me want to cry when I see this elderly woman. But the crimes committed by the former mayor have been confirmed during the investigation, and the case materials have already been submitted to the court. According to the new law, this person will face deserved punishment," Tashiev noted in an interview with Region TV.
