A garrison formation of employees from the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek was held at Ala-Too Square, timed to coincide with the upcoming New Year holidays. The event was organized for the personnel responsible for maintaining public order and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, participated in this event, along with the head of the Main Internal Affairs Department, Police Colonel Azamat Toktonaliev, his deputies, district akims, and heads of city services.
The head of the capital emphasized the importance of working in an enhanced mode during the holiday days, highlighting the need to maintain public order and uphold the law in places where large numbers of people gather, including shopping and entertainment centers and recreational areas.
“Thanks to your professionalism and responsible approach to your duties, I am confident that the New Year will pass calmly and safely. Every resident and guest of the capital should celebrate the holidays in a comfortable and safe atmosphere,” noted A. Junushaliev.
The Patrol Service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek was tasked with strengthening control over compliance with traffic rules during the New Year period, as well as intensifying preventive measures aimed at preventing driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the akimats were instructed to enhance fire safety levels at venues where large crowds gather.
The Municipal Inspection and the akimats were tasked with organizing measures to combat unauthorized trade, especially in places with large gatherings of people, while adhering to all regulations and sanitary norms.
A total of 600 police officers participated in the briefing, with 45 vehicles involved.
During the New Year holidays, the city police will switch to an enhanced mode of operation.
The event concluded with a ceremonial march of the personnel.
