- A factory for the production of synthetic yarn has opened in Kyrgyzstan, reported the general director of the Bishkek SEZ, Umbrieel Temiraliyev, on the radio.

He noted that alongside this, carpet production will be launched, as well as enterprises for the production of cardboard and viscose hygiene wipes for household needs.

“Previously, these products were not manufactured in our country; now they are available thanks to the new factories,” added Temiraliyev.

Currently, seven new enterprises are already operational, and this year, the opening of two more factories is expected: one will produce carpets, and the other will produce wet wipes and baby diapers.

In addition, the general director reported that foundations are being laid for five new factories: three of them are located in Kara-Balta, and two in the Bishkek SEZ. Among them will be a cable factory and an enterprise for the production of environmentally friendly organic paints, which is being established with the participation of Chinese investors.
