The official opening of the plant, designed for sorting solid household waste, took place on December 10. It is located near the landfill and is intended for waste processing.
The plant, created as part of a program to improve the sustainability of the city of Naryn, is equipped with modern technology and can process up to four tons of waste per hour. The sorting process allows for the extraction of up to 10% of recyclable materials, which are then sent to Bishkek for further processing.
In the future, there are plans to increase the plant's capacity and processing volumes.
The solid waste sorting complex is located near the sanitary landfill of Karga Jayloo and will process seven types of solid household waste. Currently, the plant employs 20 staff members.
The construction contractor was Eco Resource Technology LLC. The total cost of the project amounted to 9 million soms (approximately $102,900 at the current exchange rate of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic).
