At a meeting of the city council of Kara-Balta, a decision was made to introduce new tariffs for parking services for vehicles at the local bus station, reports Turmush correspondent.

According to the new regulation, the parking fee will be 90 soms per trip for intercity routes, including the popular route "Kara-Balta—Bishkek," on which drivers make 1-2 trips a day. For local routes, the fee will be 40 soms per trip.

As explained by the city administration, this decision was made based on Articles 34 and 39 of the law "On Local State Administration and Local Self-Government." The main goal of introducing the fee is to cover operational costs necessary for the functioning of the bus station, as well as to ensure an appropriate level of service and maintain the sanitary and technical condition of both the bus station itself and the adjacent area.

The collected funds from parking are planned to be directed towards paying for utility services — electricity, solid waste disposal, water supply, and sewage, as well as salaries for the service staff.

The regulation has already been sent to the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic for inclusion in the register of normative legal acts.
