At a meeting dedicated to road repairs in the Issyk-Kul region, Kamchybek Tashiev, head of the State National Security Committee, recommended that builders from the Chinese company China Road learn the Kyrgyz language.
Currently, workers from this company are engaged in the repair of the Barskoon – Karakol road section.
When Tashiev asked if they spoke Kyrgyz, the builders replied that they only knew Russian.
“Why haven’t you learned to speak Kyrgyz yet? You have been in Kyrgyzstan for so many years. You have been working here for 20 years. It’s time to learn!” noted the head of the special services.
He also urged to speed up the pace of road infrastructure repairs.
“When work is delayed, it creates inconveniences for people. We don’t need that. Therefore, we ask you to speed up. For now, this is a request, as the deadlines still allow. We won’t give orders yet,” added Kamchybek Tashiev.
