During his working trip to the Batken region, the head of the State National Security Committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, announced plans to install video surveillance along the Kyrgyz-Tajik border after the completion of barbed wire installation. He emphasized the importance of constant monitoring of the situation at the border.

Kamchybek Tashiev also stressed that technical means, such as video cameras, are not the only solution. It is also necessary to build roads along the border for full-fledged patrolling.

According to the head of the State National Security Committee, crossing the border and moving goods should only occur through official checkpoints.

During the inspection, Kamchybek Tashiev learned that the "Yegoza" type barbed wire used for demarcating the border is currently being produced in correctional facilities in Kyrgyzstan. Previously, such barriers had to be purchased from outside the country.

Work on the engineering arrangement of the border with Tajikistan is actively ongoing.
