Isagaliev was detained on suspicion of abuse of official authority during the construction of the Balykchy — Bokonbaev — Karakol road.
The investigation believes that the contracting company did not fulfill the terms of the contract, violated deadlines and technical standards, which, in turn, led to delays in the completion of works on the construction of the road of national significance.
As part of the opened criminal case on suspicion of abuse of authority, another citizen known as M.I. was also detained, the agency reports.
The detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Karakol City Department of Internal Affairs, and investigative actions are ongoing.
It is worth noting that the chairman of the GKNB, Kamchybek Tashiev, previously criticized the repair of the 141-kilometer road, which started in 2021 and is still not completed. Strict warnings were issued to responsible officials and contractors. Tashiev also ordered the arrest of Mirlan Isagaliev due to the failure to meet the deadlines for the repair of the Balykchy — Bokonbaev — Karakol highway section.
