The official is suspected of illegally issuing licenses for resource extraction
In the Chui region, the akim of the Chui district, T.R.T., was detained, according to information provided by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
His actions raised suspicions of abuse of office, as he illegally issued permits for the extraction of sand and gravel mixture, which caused damage to both the state and the ecology of the region.
In particular, the akim violated the government decree of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 43 dated 05.02.2019, which allows the issuance of licenses for the extraction of sand and gravel in riverbeds on plots of no more than 0.1 hectares. However, he issued a permit for the use of a full 20 hectares of land.
Furthermore, T.R.T. entered into a criminal conspiracy with business representatives and began to promote the interests of a close relative by issuing certificates in violation of the country's legislation.
On December 16, T.R.T. was arrested and placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
