Munduz was born in the village of Ak-Zhar, located in the Talas region. After getting married, she moved to the village of Aral in the Manas region, where she met her future husband through mutual acquaintances. This happened 19 years ago, and at that time their communication was limited to a landline phone: they called each other and talked. A year after they started communicating, on February 23, 2007, they got married.
“The wedding was a significant moment for me. I had never milked a cow or a horse before, and after marriage, we spent two years at the жайлоо (summer pasture). Now, when I remember those days, I realize that life at the жайлоо was remarkably good,” she shares.
Dreaming of a large family from a young age, Munduz, being the youngest of seven children, always wanted to have many daughters. “I really love having many girls in the family. My name, Munduz, has a special meaning and is given in honor of the name of my clan. My older sisters are named Zhyldyz and Kunduzy,” she added.
Currently, Munduz has seven children, including:
- Kanybekova Ayturgan — born in 2008;
- Kanybekova Aysalkyn — born in 2010;
- Kanybekovaamina — born in 2012;
- Kanybekova Uulkel'sin — born in 2015;
- Kanybekova Salikha — born in 2017;
- Kanybekova Nurayim — born in 2021;
- Kanybekov Ramazan — born in 2023.
“By the will of the Almighty, we have six daughters and one son. All my children were born thanks to the same midwife who lives nearby. She always called my husband to share the joyful news,” she recounts.
“On our street, in our house, there are six girls, and our neighbors have four. Our younger brothers are friends. One day my brother came and laughed, telling that his friend Bakyt said: 'What kind of street is this — it seems only girls are born here? They need to be relocated from here!' He couldn't stop laughing for a long time. When I gave birth to my son, everyone started joking: 'She decided not to leave, so she gave birth to a son.'
“Each of my children is a personality with a unique character and dreams. By communicating with them, I understand what each of them likes and what they don't. My husband and I try to support them, wishing for them to study, find good jobs, meet worthy life partners, and be happy,” she concluded.
