Cholponbaev Tabyldy Kodoevich and Cholponbaeva Mayramkul Kalykovna from the Kyzyl-Oktyabrsky ayil district of the Kemin region in the Chui province are celebrating over 50 years of married life.

Mayramkul apa shared that after getting married, she had to take care of two mothers-in-law. Her husband was born in 1953 in the Kemin region, while she was born in the Ala-Buka district of the Jalal-Abad region. "My parents are from Kemin, and after finishing my studies, I was sent to work. My father, a zootechnician, moved to the Ala-Buka district, where I was born, and then we returned to Kemin. We received our education in Frunze in the food industry. My father worked at a dairy plant in Tokmok. In 1974, I went to the cinema, where I met my future husband. We dated a little, and after some time, on March 5, we had our wedding. We didn't have a grand celebration; everything was modest, with the blessing of our relatives. Back then, there were no such grand festivities as there are now. After the birth of our first son, I was taken in by my older mother-in-law, who lived in Zhel-Argy. My father-in-law had two wives, and at first, I helped the younger mother-in-law, and then I moved in with the older one," she shared.

When her son turned one, she got a job at the Kyrgyz Railway in the settlement of Zhel-Argy. "I saw the railway for the first time and worked there until retirement. Now I am an honored pensioner. My husband and I raised four children: two sons and two daughters. Unfortunately, our eldest son passed away 16 years ago. We have 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson, who have already graduated and are working," Mayramkul Cholponbaeva said.

She also recalled the difficult times they had to endure. "We overcame all difficulties by supporting each other. Every family has quarrels, but that should remain within the family. Thanks to patience, we survived all hardships. The youth today strive for easy money, and when they face problems, they cannot overcome them. There are also those who, upon achieving success, start to become arrogant. It is important to live understanding the current situation, not striving for unattainable heights. Life can be different: sometimes everything works out, sometimes it doesn’t. But when you earn your living through hard work, and you and your spouse put in efforts together, it is valued more," she concluded.
