Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of introducing a three-month ban on the export of fresh carrots, as became known after the publication of the draft order on December 24.
This step is driven by the need to ensure food security in the country.
As for the Kyrgyz market, Uzbekistan has traditionally been the main source of imported carrots. According to the National Statistical Committee, in the first ten months of 2025, Uzbekistan ranked first among suppliers, while China and Kazakhstan took second and third places, respectively.
