- As reported on December 22 on Uran Radio by Chekirbaev, head of the food security department of the Ministry of Agriculture, the agency is monitoring meat exports to ensure stability in the domestic market.

Chekirbaev noted that due to high prices in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, there is an increased demand for Kyrgyz meat. At the same time, despite partially open borders with Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, a certain amount of meat can still be exported. In this regard, the state is strengthening control and introducing an export ban, he added.

According to him, the main goal of these measures is to balance interests: to support farmers while simultaneously protecting socially vulnerable groups of the population.

“It is important that our farmers do not suffer losses, while also considering the interests of pensioners and other vulnerable categories. The state must provide support in this direction,” emphasized Chekirbaev.

He also reported that in 2026, there are plans to increase salaries for teachers and raise pensions for retirees, as well as develop a strategy for price stabilization.

“We have proposed the implementation of special support measures for vulnerable segments of the population. I hope that the government, considering the favorable conditions, will address this issue,” he added.
