The restrictions will also affect the EAEU states. Authorities are concerned about the country's food security, reports Orda.kz.

The Ministry of Agriculture has put forward for discussion a draft order regarding a temporary ban on the export of carrots, both fresh and chilled.

“This draft includes a ban for a period of three months. The restrictions will apply to all types of transport both to third countries and to EAEU states. Transit shipments will not be subject to these restrictions,” the documentation states.

The Ministry of Agriculture explained that this decision is aimed at ensuring food security in Kazakhstan. The draft is available on the "Open NPA" platform, and the public discussion will last until December 29.
