During a phone conversation, the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, focusing on the development of international transport corridors and increasing the capacity at customs points located on the common border. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.

The parties emphasized the importance of closer coordination between relevant agencies to ensure stable cargo transit, as well as to improve conditions that facilitate regional trade and logistics. Attention was given to measures that could enhance the efficiency of transport routes connecting both countries.

Additionally, the ministers exchanged views on upcoming high-profile visits scheduled for 2026. They noted that meetings between heads of state are crucial for further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the conversation, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies confirmed their readiness to continue active cooperation and political dialogue on all issues of bilateral relations.
