At the meeting, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the participants emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian ties, despite the active development of economic and technological cooperation. In particular, they discussed the outcomes of President Sadyr Japarov's official visit to Austria, which took place in November 2024.
The discussion of youth policy became a key point of the meeting. Considering that youth makes up more than a third of Kyrgyzstan's population, it was noted that the country is interested in studying the Austrian experience in supporting youth participation, developing volunteering, and informal education. The parties also proposed establishing connections between youth organizations of the two countries.
Representatives of both countries expressed a desire to deepen practical cooperation, including joint cultural and youth initiatives. The possibility of signing agreements on bilateral cooperation in areas under the ministry's control was considered.
During the conversation, the minister emphasized the international significance of preserving the intangible cultural heritage of the World Nomad Games and invited the Austrian delegation to attend the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place from August 31 to September 6, 2026, on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul.
Additionally, gratitude was expressed to the Austrian side for their support in organizing the "Turkic Week" taking place in Vienna. At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further development of cultural and humanitarian dialogue and exchanged gifts.
