During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of 12 investment agreements concerning the construction of solar and wind power plants, which utilize renewable energy sources and have a total capacity of 5,450 MW, were discussed. The start of these projects is scheduled for 2023.
Three agreements for the construction of hydropower plants with a total capacity of 2,239 MW and three agreements for thermal power plants, which will collectively provide 2,685 MW, were also discussed.
Kasymaliev and business representatives talked about the work already completed, the problems that have arisen, and possible ways to resolve them during the construction of the power plants.
The head of the government noted that the contribution of investors to the energy sector plays an important role in the economic development of the country. He also urged entrepreneurs to responsibly fulfill their obligations under previously signed agreements.
Considering the growing demand for electricity, Kasymaliev emphasized the readiness of the Cabinet of Ministers for continuous cooperation with businessmen interested in implementing new projects in the energy sector.
