Energy Day is a significant holiday. Every enterprise, every unit of launched equipment, every cozy home, and every lesson in school – all of this is the result of the hard work of energy workers.
Energy is the foundation of our country's progress, and energy workers themselves are the force that reliably supports this foundation. In an era when technologies require significant amounts of electricity, you are at the center of events.

The energy sector in Kyrgyzstan is not just an industry, but a strategic resource for the state. Our path in energy began with the first small thermal and hydroelectric power stations put into operation at the beginning of the last century and continues to the present day, when large energy projects are being implemented. Today, Kyrgyzstan is entering a new era in the development of its energy sector, when rich hydro resources begin to serve the country and open new horizons.
Ambitious goals for the future are already beginning to be realized. The energy infrastructure is undergoing updates. The Toktogul HPP, which has served for half a century, has been modernized, and its capacity has been increased to 1440 MW. The Uch-Kurgan HPP is also undergoing replacement of hydro units, extending the lifespan of our hydroelectric power stations. The commissioning of a number of small HPPs has breathed new life into the energy sector and created conditions for regional development. The Kambar-Ata HPP-1 is a landmark project that will lead Kyrgyzstan to energy independence and create a solid foundation for future generations. This project symbolizes trust in the profession and experience of our energy workers.
These initiatives are critical for the sustainable development of the country. We must continue reforms aimed at creating a more efficient, flexible, and technology-driven energy sector. The future of energy is tied to the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence and digital platforms. Automation of processes, intelligent network management, load forecasting, and security systems must become standard practice in our field. The faster we master these tools, the stronger the technological sovereignty of the country will be, and the more stable the economic growth will be. We are confident that the implementation of large projects in energy will strengthen the potential of the sector and open new opportunities for our country.
A special thanks to the veterans of the industry. Your labor is a solid foundation for modern energy, machine engineering, and industry. Your example of responsibility, engineering culture, and commitment to development serves as a model for the current generation.
