In the village of Bayzak, Jumgal District of Naryn Region, on the night of February 12 to 13, around 02:00, 28-year-old Süünbek Dokturbek uulu hanged himself on a beam in the livestock pen in the yard of his home.

Relatives of the deceased informed the Turmush correspondent about this.

According to them, pressure from a local woman named T. may have led to the suicide.

Relatives also believe that the local police officer bears some responsibility, as they claim the situation could have been prevented.

In January of this year, Süünbek married a girl named Aysalkyn. According to relatives, he was taking care of three family members with disabilities and serious illnesses, received support through a "social contract," and engaged in animal husbandry. Villagers express concern that those responsible may escape punishment and that the case may be "covered up."

The uncle of the deceased on his father's side, Mayrambek Kirkiyev, noted that the woman named T. repeatedly called Süünbek and pressured him, using written statements to the police related to alleged past sexual relationships, and demanded money.

According to Kirkiyev, police officers, being aware of the situation, did not notify the relatives and did not take measures that could have prevented the tragedy, as Süünbek himself did not tell his relatives about what was happening.

Relatives and a group of villagers went to the police and demanded the initiation of a criminal case, conducting interrogations, and making a fair decision.

A social worker from the village of Bayzak reported that the family is registered: three people with disabilities live in the house.

Villagers add that after the tragedy, the deceased's father and seriously ill brother remained at home, while the mother is receiving treatment in Bishkek.

Relatives of the deceased also report that the mentioned woman T. is in Bishkek and allegedly may flee abroad, as she has a visa.

The investigator of the Jumgal District Department of Internal Affairs stated that the materials of this case will be reviewed and the woman named T. will be brought in for necessary procedures.

The press service of the Naryn Region Department of Internal Affairs reported that on February 13, 2026, information about the suicide of a resident of Jumgal District was received at the duty station via "102".

"The operational investigative group of the Jumgal District Department of Internal Affairs went to the scene, and the fact has been registered.

The man, born in 1998, hanged himself.

Currently, appropriate investigative actions are being conducted," the police statement said.
